- Hotel
Currently, Kaycee's has rooms ranging from 40-80 sq ft. Each room has a window and a pet door, giving your pet lots of sunshine and free access to their private outdoor run. All doors are left open all day and are only locked at night for safety when everybody is tucked into bed with a special treat (upon owner approval). Our staff is trained in animal care, so we are familiar with administering medication, and all forms of feeding (including raw). Our staff also consists of animal lovers so hugs and attention are handed out freely.
9-10am, 2-3pm & 6-7pm
If you would like an earlier or later drop off we do offer 8-9am or 7-8pm for an additional $15.00. Unfortunately, we have a strict no people policy after close. There will be NO drop offs or pick ups after 8pm or before 8am. This allows us to keep things on schedule. Our night time consists of a wind down time after 8 which ends with treats (owner approved) and bedtime. This structure is very important for our guests good nights sleep.
DAPP, Rabies and Bordetella
Keeping things healthy and happy in here is a daily priority. Unfortunately, there will always be some things that sneak through. Just like taking your kid to daycare, there are certain risks that come with your pets mingling. We can not honestly say that there will be no chance of your pet coming in contact with a potentially ill animal. Many of the ailments that are passed from pet to pet are contagious even before they are showing signs. Much like people and the flu/cold viruses that travel around our world, your pets world also has similar viruses within it. And again much like our cold and flus, some of these are unfortunately unavoidable, yet thankfully somewhat harmless.
There are, however certain steps we can take to lessen the chances of infection. We have a daily cleaning regiment that includes disinfecting each room with a hospital grade germicide to combat anything that sneaks in for the more minor illnesses. For the more serious illnesses, thankfully there are vaccines as well that protect our pets. Because these vaccines are available it is in your best interest to make sure your pet is up to date. Some of these illnesses are potentially fatal (ie.parvo, rabies, distemper) and because of this we do make it MANDATORY for your pet to have DAPP and Rabies. These are basically the base vaccines that every vet will administer. Due to an influx in cases of Bordetella within the Brant area, we have also decided to add it to our list of mandatory vaccines. Bordetella (kennel cough) is generally a dog flu/cold shot. Just like our flu shots, they are not guaranteed to work against all different strains of the virus so they are not a guaranteed save, but even if your vaccinated pet comes in contact with the virus and develops symptoms the vaccine will lessen the attack and they will be able to fight it off easier, making for a quicker recovery.
